Text: NWP says the railroad should be completed by Oct. 1914. Between Fort Seward and Dos Rios there 2,000 men, 100's of teams, several big auto trucks and a number of steam shovels and donkey engines working. Filkins tunnel between Fort Seward and McConn has been a problem. It continues to cave in. The walls contain a soil that expands when exposed to air. The walls will be sealed with cement so the air can't get to the soil.
