Text: Paul first went to work for his father in 1891 in the Arcata Store. Later on in 1908, Paul took charge of the Brizard pack trains into Willow Creek, New River, Orleans, Hoopa & Weitchpec, all which had Brizard stores. By 1920 the new road made it easier to transport goods in by truck- so he discontinued the pack trains.
