Text: PG+E announced they plan to spend $3.2 million on a system that will provide increased power supply. Yesterday the Mayor John Ryan pushed the switch that sent current from the 6700 HP generators of the Donbass III. Included in the $3.2M plan is a new transmission line from a Russian tanker which broke apart in the Aleutians on Feb. 17, relief until the new 110,000 volt transmission lines are completed and the new steam plant is ready for use. The steam plant is at the foot of Whipple Street.
