Text: PG&E began stringing the last 40 miles of wire along the 116 mile route that runs from Cottonwood. The new 110,000 volt line will connect the Shasta substation in Cottonwood with the Eureka substation. Upon completion, Eureka will be served by two lines, one 60,000 volt line from Keswick & this new 110,000 volt line. This will provide greater reliability during the winter months.
