Text: Photo & Article on Anna McGaraghan, first women ever to be elected to the Eureka City Council. She & her son Frank took took a 14,000 mile tour of all the national parks, Canada, & Mexico. Born in S.F., she came to Eureka 47 years ago, at which time she married Bernard McGaraghan. The firm McGaraghan Logging Supply and Drayage Company began in 1868 by Michael McGaraghan. She was recently elected to the City Council . Will assume the duties on July 9, 1951.
