Text: Photo of the Bay Hotel at the NW corner of 3rd and E. One night in late 1880's fire destroyed it. It was owned by the late Henry Devoy. He sold the site to the Bank of Eureka. The bank Bd. of Directors constr. a 2 story bldg. on the site. Later the bank built a new larger bldg. which in (2012) is the Clark Museum.
