Photo of the depot of the Eel River and Eureka RR. This depot was built in 1882 by John Vance and William Carson. This RR was built south down to Alton and a branch line was constr. to Burnell's station near Carlotta. In the photo are two old-time hotel buses which made trips to the incoming and outgoing trains from local hotels. (This depot was apparently in Eureka)? Check when RR was extended from Fields Landing to Eureka-82 or 85?
