Text: Photo of a group of men on Oct. 1914 at Cain Rock on the NWPRR celebration - driving the Golden Spike. The photo shows H.L. Ricks w/ a box and a sledge hammer. He worked hard to get *San Francisco and North Pacific RR which ended a few miles north of Wil... with the southern terminal of the Eel River and Eureka RR a little south of Laribee. (*the heads of S.P. and Sante Fe RR to build the link that would connect). S.P. owned the S.F. and North Pacific RR. Sante Fe owned the Eel River. and Eureka RR.
