The PWA announced an allotment of $53,181 to the City for the construction of the planned municipal auditorium. The citizens have voted to provide $65,000 towards the project. The title for the site between 11th , 12th , E , & F , is still to be obtained from the Eureka School District. This block is known as the old Winship block.
