Text: Yesterday's earthquake lasted 15 seconds and occurred at 12:07 PM. It was the strongest since 1906. Many items fell from shelves. Windows were broken. Plaster came off walls in the County Courthouse. Trinidad and north, and Ferndale did not suffer much damage. 12 chimneys in Arcata were down or damaged.
