Text: The Eureka City Council adopted a resolution asking the U.S. War Dept. for a special appropriation from Congress to construction protection works on the Buhne land on Humboldt Bay (near today's PG&E plant). The land is slowly eroding due to a change in currents and surf or wave action since construction of the jetties. Two attorneys, Puter and Quinn, rep Mr. Buhne and made a presentation. They said the eroding material is hampering navigation when it fills the main channels.
