Text: The road from Fernbridge to Ferndale has been maintained by the state since 1933 and is designated highway 56. It's called part of the Shoreline highway. On another matter surveys near Freshwater Lagoon will be used as a basis for plans to improve this sector. Also Gov. Warren signed SB 35 which legalizes expenditures of public funds for maint. of public highways less than 40' wide. This measure will affect the upkeep of county roads.
