Text: Horace Anderson was awarded the contract to construct the Indianola Cutoff that will connect Old Arcata Road (OAR) with the Redwood Highway. Gardner Brothers were awarded the contract to construct a concrete bridge over Freshwater Creek on Old Arcata Road (OAR). H.A. Anderson was awarded a contract to construct a redwood truss bridge across Salmon Creek near Miranda. A contract was awarded to grade a road from Samoa to Rolph. It will involve about 17,000 cubic yards.
