Roberta Brechbill, Arcata City Clerk, was given a $30/mouth retroactive pay raise from January by the City Council Monday night over the objection of Mayor Ralph Lyman. He felt that the City Clerk, as an elective officer, should serve out her term at existing salary. The raise brings the salary to $440/mouth.
