Text: State Highway Engr. F.D. Somner will meet with State Highway Commissioner C.F. Stern in Eureka to go over plans for the section of Highway across the marsh between Eureka and Arcata and the 12 mile section from Beatrice to Eureka. Two contracts to be let this month include work on the Miranda-Garberville section and the Alton-Fortuna section. Mr. Stern will also arrange for the completion of the unfinished section from Cummings to Garberville. Next year the RW highway will be open for travel from San Francisco to Eureka. Grading contracts will also need to be let to grade the two sections mentioned above, namely the Eureka-Arcata section and the Beatrice to Eureka section.
