Text: Some history of the search for water for Eureka. It is noted that the 1st step was taken in November 1923 when the city council set aside $500 to enable city engineer Hannah to make a preliminary study. Later, more money was set aside and the Eureka Chamber of Commerce appropriated $1500 to do a survey.
