Text: Senate Hearing on Iron Gate Dam 6&1/2 mile between Copco Dam. Hearing was held by the State Fish & Game Commission per a request from the Klamath RIver Conservation Club Inc. 11-27-1948. Those in favor of the dam emphasized it would not disturb the constitutional amendment passed in 1924 that prohibited dams across the Klamath River from its mouth up to the Shasta River.
