Text: The Senate in Wash D.C. passed the tidelands bill giving the coastal states rights to the first 3 miles out to sea. Texas and Florida would have rights out to 10&1/2 miles because of the conditions under which they entered the Union. Eisenhower is expected to sign the bill.
