Senator Edwin J. Regan introduced a resolution in the senate asking the state legisl. to oppose a federal bill introduced by congressman Helen Gahagan Douglas to create a memorial Redwood forest in Northern CA. as a memorial to Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It contained 2.5M acres in Del Norte, Humboldt, Mend. & Sonoma Counties.
