Text: Article-the sewers of Eureka are in need of a general overhauling, rebuilding and renovating. The Washington street sewer discharges the collected sewage of Eureka into the bay. It is nearly filled with mud & must be dredged out this fall. Last winter the sewers in downtown were overflowing because the Washington street main was overloaded. Over the next 2 years it will be necessary to provide sewers in the back part of town which is growing rapidly. The street and alley comm. needs more crushed rock, preparing to improve Myrth Ave, grading of Harris street & improvements of Broadway.
