Text: RFD. Ship Building article. 1870's the Fay brothers at Fairhaven. They were followed by Capt. Cousins who built sever ships. Then Bendixsen and McDonald followed. Later the firm became known as Bendixsen. Capt. H.E. Bendixsen built many many ships.
