Text: The South Jetty was extended 110 feet during past 10 days. 7,000 tons of rock were dumped into the ocean without extending the jetty one foot. The depth of water at low tide = 16ft into which the rock is dumped. There is another 720' feet remaining to be built. About 1,000 tons of rock are delivered per day from the quarry.
