Text: The State Highway Commission approved a record $483,571,763 budget yesterday. 1% or $4,775,000 was budgeted for Humboldt County and included: clear & grub 7.2 miles from Myers Flat to a point 1 mile south of Dyerville; completion of a freeway for 3.2 miles from Fortuna to a point 0.8 miles north of Fernbridge; construction a 4 lane expressway 1.5 miles long from a point 1 mile south of Mad River to a point 0.3 miles north of Mad River; construction 3.6 miles of 4 lane expressway from Patrick's Point to 0.25 miles north of Big Lagoon; and on 299 a realignment of a 0.8 mile section from a point 0.1 miles west of Essex Gulch to a point 0.2 miles east of Fieldbrook.
