Text: Clarence Hill, gen. mgr. of Fortuna Sawmills at west end of Sandy Prairie Road, said was 3/4 mile west when mill was built in 1949 and now only 100 yards west. Redwood creek rose to 14.5 feet by about 5:30pm, peaked at 15 feet, 4 feet below flood stage. Strom dropped 3.29" on Eureka from Thurs. at 4:30 pm to Monday at 4:30pm.
