Place: Crescent City Ragged Creek

Text: The last stretch of torturous road between Ragged Creek. The foot of the hill south of Crescent City is about to be replaced with a new graded & graveled state Highway. It will replace the worst piece between Requa & Crescent City. This new piece is cut into the mountainside. The old road over Ragged Mtn had sections of redwood corduroy & tree windings & speed was reduced to 4 - 5 mph. Sight distance was hardly a can length. The last piece from the foot of the hill into Crescent City is still to be completed by Del Norte County.
