Text: "Superv. Proceedings" the B.O.S. adopted two resolutions: one was to direct the Auditor to include $86,000 in the tax budget for 1917-18 and this B.O.S. will levy a sufficient tax rate to raise the same or such other sum as will be necessary for the purpose of purchasing R/W for state highway route across the marsh and 1/2 the cost for the bridge over [Eureka] slough (RW 101 highway). The second resolution accepted the offer of the State Highway Comm. to design and build the bridge over the Eureka Slough on the cut-off (RW 101 highway) and to pay 1/2 the cost of said bridge and its approaches provided the county pays the balance of said cost to construct said bridge and to provide the R/W for the adopted route of the RW highway between Eureka and Arcata (known as the cut-off).
