Text: Supervisors of Humboldt and Trinity Counties have agreed to construct a road from Ruth down through the Hettenshaw Valley to Zenia and thence to the Humboldt County line connecting with the Humboldt county road near Dobbyn's Creek. It will be 22 miles long and bring the Sacramento Valley within 60 miles of Humboldt. Ruth is almost on the Trinity State Highway and by building the road as outlined travelers over the Trinity State Highway can connect with the Humboldt county road near Dubbyn's Creek, shortening the route to and from the Sacramento Valley by many miles.
