Place: Grouse Mountain Berry Summit

Text: The survey of Grouse Mtn showed it to be the best area for the development of a snow sports activities, said William Fisher, superv of the 6 Riv NF. The survey recommended the most feasible area to consist of the Titlow hill-upper and Lower Fern Prairie region. It is 6 mi from Berry Summit. Their survey on Jan. 17-18 showed 8"-14" of powdery snow on the ground at Titlow hill. The present 6 mi one-way sharp grade road will have to be improved.
