Text: B.H. Burrell, U.S. Senior Highway engr. with the office of public roads, Dept. of Agr. was in Trinidad County making a preliminary survey of the future 299 highway. As planned, it will run from the junction of the Hennessy Road with the South Fork Trinity; up the Trinity River to the North Fork Trinity 40 miles. It will join with the Humboldt County road near the County line. It will connect Humboldt County with Weaverville. Work on this new route will be done by the forestry dept. this year and next. The work will construction a tail 3' feet wide on a wagon road grade never to exceed 6% grade.
