Item Type: Survey work

Place: Trinity River North Fork Trinity Helena

Text: The six-man survey crew has finished their survey of a possible route along the Trinity River for the state highway. They surveyed 21 miles though rough country. The other half of the 42 miles was surveyed 2 years ago by Ellery and County Surveyor Connors. Surveyor Lentell and his crew worked west from the North Fork Trinity at Helena down the north side of the river, 22 miles to Sandy Bar, where the Ellery - Connors survey was met. Lentell continued west to a point just south of the mouth of the South Fork Trinity. If this route is selected the main Trinity River will have to be bridged twice. This route would open up some fine mining country.
