Text: Harbor Commissioner cousin, Surveyor A.T. Smith and councilman Lovern visited the Mad River canal on Monday, 7/23/1888 to inspect the dam constructed to stop the flow of mad river water into it. They noted it will take more work for it to successful shut off the flow.
