Text: Ted (Teddy) Menette, oldest (77) employee of Hammond Lumber Company. Celebrated his 54th year with the company. He first went to work April 9, 1895 for the Vance Mill. When the mill was construction in Samoa in 1894 by Ed Vance he assumed charge of the log pond. When Hammond assumed charged of the Vance mill Sept. 1, 1900, he remained on the job until the present time.
