Text: Three photos related to Fido, the fog dispersal system constr. at the airport. Seabees do the work under the supervision of the Bureau of Aeronautics. In Oct. 1944 experiments were started here. To date $625,000 has been appropriated for research at Arcata. Gasoline for the experiment comes from a 240,000 gallon tank farm. In the 1920's Fido experiments began in the U.S. Fido was used in England in WWII to step up the bombing of Germany.
