Text: The whaling station at Fields Landing has not operated since 1951 when fire destroyed the refinery. Herman Froland, partner in the firm of Hunter and Froland Marine Industries Company will leave for Lima, Peru on May 1st to manage a whaling station 50 miles north of Lima. He doubts the station at Fields Landing will restart.
