Text: Whole page article on the airport at Murray Field. 6 photos of pilots & their planes. In 1936 it was a small field with 3 planes based at it. It now has 40 planes. All flying was curtailed during the WWII. It re-opened on May 16, 1945. The current runway is 1,750 feet long. Plans are done for a 2,700 feet runway it opened in 1936 & had a hanger and turf runways. In 1940, wings were added to the hanger.
