Text: George Minor, grandson of Isaac Minor, said there were 300 men on the Glendale Ranch working at the mill. The mill logged first with oxen, then with males & horse, and finally with steam donkeys. They had their own railroad which connected with Korbel's Arcata & Mad River railroad. George recalled that the whole area hereabout was a vast lumber pile. Most who worked here were Swedes while most of the crowd at Korbel were Italians.
