Text: Whole page of photos & text on Ft. Humboldt. Part of the site was deeded to the city in the early 1920's by Mrs. W.S. Cooper. She deeded the other part to the DAR. Later, her daughter Laura B. Cooper, deeded the remainder to the city. In 1936 Harry H. Selvage was hired as the caretaker, the museum was fixed up in the old commissary building & the site become the Fort Humboldt Memorial.
