Text: Whole page on Weott. The articles are by Chet Schwarzkopf and photos are taken by Dick Ryan. There was Mckee's mill that there in 1916 when Walter J. Curry took over the mill. He planned & laid out much of the town. When Bob Johnson came in 1918 he & his folks were living in tents & logging on what is now main street. It was just a dirt road. Weott was a two fisted logging camp whose name had been changed from Helms Camp to Mckee's Mill. It wasn't till about 1923 that its name changed to Weott.
