Text: Within the next 30 days work will begin on clearing the Redwood for the first 5 miles running north out of Willits for the NWP railroad. Redwood has been purchased for 15 miles up the valley from Willits. At the other end in Humboldt Country the bridge engineers finished gathering survey data for the bridge to be built at Dyerville. Orders were to construct the railroad to Dyerville this winter. The population of Willits is around 1,000.
