" Work will be commenced on the Elk River Railroad at an early day. The road is graded to the mill and the ties are on the ground. The iron is laid to within 2&1/2 miles of the termins and a crew of man can place the road in good running condition in a short time. The high water & heavy storms of winter did a good deal of damage to the track down on the marsh. "
