MLK Day of Service

MLK Day of Service is scheduled for Monday, January 20th, 2025! Cal Poly Humboldt students, faculty, and staff, College of the Redwoods, and community members are invited to join us for a morning of community service. Light snacks and transportation provided! T-shirts for the first 100 volunteers.

Call for Exceptional Staff Recognition Award Nominations!

Staff Council and the Office of Administrative Affairs are welcoming nominations for both state and auxiliary employees for Staff Recognition awards to support the recognition of the strengths and achievements of individual nominees, especially highlighting areas of innovation, mentorship, service, resource stewardship/sustainability, and ethics/social justice. 

 

These awards are not for students, management, or faculty employees, nor are the current members of the Staff Council eligible. Nominations for outstanding staff members should be from their achievements during the 2023-2024 academic year. Previous recipients can be found at the Staff Council webpage, linked here: Staff Recognition Awards.

 

Nominations are welcomed using our Online Nomination Form. The nomination form closes Friday, January 17th, at 5:00 PM.

Door Decorating Contest

Staff Council and the Campus Traditions Committee invite all departments to don your creative hats to decorate your department doors in celebration of all things Cal Poly Humboldt!

Staff Halloween Potluck

It’s that time of year for costumes, fun, and some Halloween treats! The Staff Council is excited to invite you to our Staff Halloween Potluck on Thursday, October 31st from noon to 2 PM at the Great Hall.

We have a spooky lineup for the day:

  • Halloween-themed potluck starting at noon 
  • Costume Contest with prizes at 12:30 PM – come dressed in your best Halloween attire!
  • Drinks and desserts will be provided!

Let’s celebrate the spirit of Halloween together with good food, fun costumes, and great company.

We hope to see you there for some Halloween cheer!
