Honoring Your Service
At the end of the Spring Semester, during Staff Appreciation Week, we join with Cal Poly Humboldt leadership to celebrate the dedication of staff who reach service milestones of 5, 10, 20, or 30+ years. The Years of Service Recognition Ceremony is a valued Humboldt tradition that honors the impact of our staff across campus.
Organized by the Staff Council, this event highlights the pride we take in our staff community.
What is the Years of Service Recognition?
Staff receive commemorative pins featuring the Cal Poly Humboldt seal for service milestones. Pins are awarded during the End of the Year Staff Appreciation Event.
When Does It Take Place?
The ceremony is held at the end of the Spring Semester, as part of the Staff Appreciation celebration.
Who Is Eligible?
To qualify, employees must:
- Work in state-side, Sponsored Programs Foundation, or Associated Students positions.
- Reach their milestone between January 1 and December 31 of the previous year.
- Have continuous service at Cal Poly Humboldt (not the full CSU system), regardless of full-time, part-time, or temporary status.
- Note: Student employment does not count toward service years.
*Student employee time does not count toward overall staff service years.
