Provost Communication, Monday, April 27, 2026
May 7, 2026
Good morning Colleagues,
Can you believe there are only 23 days of Green Days left? The spring semester is quickly drawing to a close, with Commencement just three weeks away. Thank you to those who have already signed up to support the ceremonies or participate in the processionals. Since the last Provost Communication, 18 additional colleagues have stepped forward—and we are grateful! We are still seeking approximately 80 more volunteers to help ensure a smooth and celebratory experience for our graduates and their families.
If you are able to assist for part or all of Commencement day, your support will make a meaningful difference in this important milestone. Please connect with your supervisor regarding overtime or compensatory time options, depending on your employment status and departmental flexibility. Register at the following links:

Well Done, Aviation Club!

The event welcomed approximately 1,000 participants and featured 40 aircraft, offering K–12 students, college students, and community members a unique opportunity to explore aviation and connect with our local airport.
Airport Day was organized by the Aviation Club in partnership with the Humboldt County Department of Aviation, and we are grateful for their collaborative efforts in making this event both accessible and impactful. You can learn more about the Aviation Club at the following link: Aviation Club
