October 19, 2025

Hello and happy commencement (and finals week)! It’s an exciting week and an incredibly busy time, and lots to celebrate. Speaking of celebrating….

More Great Enrollment Update News

Total deposits are up 19% year to date (YTD) as of May 5, 2025, and we are seeing growth in all major student types:

  • First-time undergraduate (FTUG) deposits are up 14.7% over last year

  • Undergraduate (UD) Transfer deposits are 19% higher

  • Master’s students are 37% higher.

The FTUG deposit total reached last week is the same as the FINAL number of deposits received for this important population in all of the 2024 cycle.

Housing applications are also strongly up, and current application volume, if maintained through move-in, would place our occupancy for fall at 90%. For context, our goal in the first semester of the opening of the Hinarr Hu Moulik residence halls was to open this fall with at least 85% occupancy.

We are on track to meet our target enrollment for fall, though we must continue to drive deposits, particularly among later-depositing student groups, and work to reduce melt, or the number of students who commit to come and then never arrive on campus in August.
