October 19, 2025

Hello and happy Monday. I hope you had a wonderful weekend, and I hope you didn’t blow away in the wind! I was grateful to be able to attend a Social Work event on Friday evening honoring alumni, faculty, and initiating honor students into their honor society. I am grateful for the next generation of helping professionals.

Academic Field Trip Newsletter

Thanks to Geneviève Marchand for her work as the Risk Fellow in Risk Management (Division of Administration and Finance) this year. One of the results of her work is the creation of an Academic Field Trip Newsletter (please see attached) aimed at providing you with valuable resources to support safe and successful field trips.

Exciting Enrollment Update

As of May 1, 2025, our total deposits for fall are up 15% year to date, with 275 more new students depositing than last year. Our first-time undergraduate (FTUG) deposits are up by 110 students, or 12%, and upper-division transfer (UDT) deposits are up by 121 students. Given this, our overall enrollment target of 6,347, 4.9% higher than last year, is easily within reach. Hitting 4.9% growth still requires work, but we're in a place where we are looking at how much growth we can sustain rather than whether there will be growth at all, which is extremely positive. Thanks to the Enrollment Management and Student Success team and all of our faculty and staff for the tremendous work in making this happen. Our collaborative and strategic work is realizing success! Well done!
