October 19, 2025

Good morning and happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. The moment you have been waiting for has finally arrived: KICKBALL! Academic Affairs has three kickball teams in this year’s College Colors Day festivities. Come out and show your support today at 12 pm as OH HEY HEY! takes on Kicking it Old School on the upper softball field by Redwood Bowl. And if you missed the promo video, please view it here. You can thank me later for the laughter.

CEEGE Name Change to CEE

To better reflect the purpose and mission of extended education at Cal Poly Humboldt,

Approval has been granted to officially change the name of the College of Extended Education and Global Engagement (CEEGE) to the College of Extended Education (CEE), effective September 8, 2025.

This change follows the recent relocation of Study Abroad to the College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences and the relocation of recruitment and support of international students to the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success. With these relocations, the areas remaining in the college include Extended Education and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI).

Office of Research & Sponsored Programs Summer 2025 Newsletter

Beginning in AY 2025–2026, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs will publish two newsletters per year, one in both Fall and Spring, rather than four. The newsletters will continue to feature research news, faculty achievements, project highlights, and funding opportunities. Moving forward, procedural updates, policy changes, and office news will be shared through Axios HQ, a new email platform we’ll use alongside our research portal to ensure more timely updates.

Click here to read the Summer 2025 Newsletter on ISSUU, or click through to the portal at the link below for an accessible PDF copy. For the convenience of our Principal Investigators (PIs), we've archived our past issues, available here.
