Good morning Colleagues,
Spring Break is just around the corner! As this busy week comes to a close, I hope you are able to transition into some well-deserved time to spend in just the way you wish. We are grateful to the many dedicated staff who will continue working through spring break to keep the university running smoothly. Whether you are taking time off or supporting campus operations, I hope you find some moments of joy.
Well Done! Humboldt County History Day Was a Great Success
Nearly 300 students participated in the annual Humboldt County History Day at Cal Poly Humboldt on February 28, 2026, making this year’s event a tremendous success. As one of the longest-running History Day programs in California—hosted on our campus since 1982—the event continues to showcase the power of partnership among Cal Poly Humboldt, the Humboldt County Office of Education, teachers, volunteers, and community organizations. Congratulations to the 57 student champions and heartfelt thanks to the 75 volunteers and campus partners who made the day possible.
