May 7, 2026
Dear Colleagues,
As we close out April (Earth Month), we invite you to visit the “Rooted & Rising Together” Decoration Contest webpage (at this link: Accreditation Decorating Contest) to explore the creativity and sustainability descriptions shared by participating departments during the WSCUC Site Visit. I am grateful for the ways these efforts highlighted our campus community’s spirit, collaboration, and engagement during the accreditation reaffirmation site visit. It was especially meaningful to see the care and creativity participants brought to expressing our shared commitment to sustainability and respect for our beautiful and unique home on this planet.
In that same spirit of sustainability and campus engagement, we encourage you to take part in today’s focus group to help shape transportation at Cal Poly Humboldt:
Transportation Focus Group: Today, April 29, 2026
Do you have ideas or want to join a conversation about how we make transportation to, from, and around campus better? The Office of Sustainability invites you to attend the Transportation Focus Group today, Wednesday, April, 29, 2026 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the Great Hall.
The university has contracted Fehr & Peers to develop a Transportation Demand Management Plan. Come share your ideas and experiences with their transportation planners, and learn about how your input will help us improve bike, pedestrian, transit and vehicle efficiency, accessibility and convenience. Light refreshments will be served.
