Good morning, 

Amidst the flurry of the president and provost transitions, the Office of Academic Affairs (aka the Provost’s Office), after very successful searches this past fall, has been fortunate to recently welcome new staff members to support both the Provost’s Office and Academic Programs. I’d like to introduce you below, while also inviting you to stop by the office for a cup of coffee or some 3 pm chocolate if you’re in the Siemens Hall neighborhood.

2025-26 Distinguished Faculty Award Nominations Update

The nomination period has closed for the President’s Distinguished Faculty Award. The University Senate Faculty Awards Committee is excited to have received 10 nominations for exceptional faculty. The nominations are now being reviewed for eligibility among four different award categories. The committee will soon communicate to the campus community the nominees and open a public feedback period. More information to come!

2024-25 Distinguished Faculty Lecture Series: March 4th, March 25th, and April 2nd, 2026

Our campus and community members are invited to the upcoming Distinguished Faculty Lecture Series presented by the Academic Year 2024-25 faculty award recipients. Award recipients are nominated by their colleagues or students for excellence in their field, and then reviewed by a Faculty Awards Committee. The upcoming events are an opportunity for award recipients to engage with the campus and local community by giving a public lecture or performance, or a different activity of their choosing. Please join us for this semester’s upcoming lectures:
