Hello and happy Wednesday It continues to be a busy and exciting week as we close out final exams and prepare for commencement. It was wonderful to see many of you at the senate reception last night honoring our faculty award winners, ERFSA junior faculty grant winners and incoming and outgoing senators. A special thanks to Jim Woglom for his Senate leadership over the last few years. You are appreciated.
Class Climate Course Survey Outage: Updated Information
I know that there have been a number of pain points associated with the Class Climate Course Survey Outage that was experienced during the previous weekend. We are doing our best to address concerns as best we can. We recognize the critical role that course surveys play in informing teaching and program development. Academic affairs is committed to supporting faculty through this. Although the system became unavailable over the weekend due to a vendor licensing error, it is now fully restored and the survey window has been extended through Friday, May 16 at 5:00 p.m.
To ensure the integrity of student feedback, faculty are encouraged to delay posting final exam scores to Canvas until after the extended deadline. Final grades are due to the Registrar by Wednesday, May 21 at 11:59 p.m., which means students will not receive final grades before the survey period closes. Additionally, paper survey options are available through college offices for those who prefer or need an alternative. We appreciate your flexibility and are here to assist with any needs during this process. For assistance, please reach out to your college office or to Academic Personnel Services (APS) at aps@humboldt.edu.

Live the Graduation Pledge & Support Campus-Wide Sustainability
The Graduation Pledge of Social and Environmental Responsibility is a campus tradition that began at Humboldt in 1987 and has spread worldwide. The Graduation Pledge is symbolized by a green satin ribbon, available to graduates on the day of commencement. Graduates take the pledge: “I pledge to explore and take into account the social and environmental consequences of any job I consider and will try to improve these aspects of any organization for which I work.”
As a reminder, this Pledge isn’t just for graduates. It’s also an invitation to support and inspire our students by living these values on campus and in our community.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week and see you at commencement.
Jenn Capps
